Tour Description:
Stonehenge, Bath, Cotswolds and Oxford Tour
Our 2-day World Heritage Sites small-group tour is an incredible adventure through traditional England. We'll visit some of the most well-known sites and cities and the lesser known Cotswold Villages. With an overnight stop in Bristol, this tour encapsulates our incredible England through places old and new.

Day 1.Our tour begins by stepping back in time at Stonehenge, the best known prehistoric monument in Europe. You can buy your tickets now or on the day from your driver-guide so you can get straight off the bus and start exploring this incredible UNESCO World Heritage site. You'll have ample time to wander the site and marvel at how and why these stones came to be where they are. We invite you to be guided through history on a free walking tour of the site.

Lacock is our next stop where you can wander the picturesque streets that make up this rural village and see Lacock Abbey. The medieval atmosphere here makes it a popular filming location - you may recognise it from Harry Potter, Pride and Prejudice, and Downton Abbey.
We'll continue our trip to Bath to enjoy the stunning Georgian architecture, relive Jane Austen's novels, or visit the beautiful Roman-built baths.

Our overnight stop is Bristol, home to Clifton's iconic suspension bridge -free to walk and offering stunning views of the Avon Gorge. Bristol is also home to the SS Great Britain Brunel's groundbreaking steamship and various murals left behind by the world's most famous street artist, Banksy. This bustling city is a perfect overnight stop with numerous restaurants and bars to enjoy in the evening.

Day 2.We'll say goodbye to Bristol and head towards Bourton-on-the-Water, one of the prettiest villages in England. It has been nicknamed "the Venice of the Cotswolds” due to the striking footbridges that cross the River Windrush.
Next we'll journey to Woodstock, a picturesque market town with many independent shops and home to Blenheim Palace; the birthplace of Winston Churchill. You can also visit his grave at the nearby St Martin's Church.

Our final stop of the tour is the 'City of Dreaming Spires', Oxford, fittingly nicknamed by poet Matthew Arnold. This stunning University city is bustling yet still holds clusters of tranquility, amongst the 38 colleges that can be found here. Literary figures such as JRR Tolkien, CS Lewis and Oscar Wilde once walked the cobbled streets. We invite you to join us on a complimentary guided walking tour to hear of Oxford's impressive history and view its incredible architecture, before we return to London.
